I love granny squares. They are the crochet look of my childhood and what many people picture when they hear the word crochet.
The first thing I ever learned to crochet was a granny square when I was about 8 years old. My mum allowed me to crochet around the outside of one she had made years earlier. As you can imagine, I was absolutely thrilled this week to find that my mum has kept my first crochet effort.
Isn’t it cute (and just a wee bit crooked)? I’m hoping now that my daughter can add to it and we can have three generations contributing to it.
