DAY 59: Juggling Act

It’s been quite a juggling act working full time, being a mum and taking on 100 days of crochet. All the balls are in the air and I’m trying not to drop any of them.

Today I have created a juggling ball or hacky sack. To start, you will need a balloon, some rice and a funnel or piece of paper.

Using the funnel or rolled up piece of paper, fill the balloon with rice and tie off the top.

Now crochet around the outside of the balloon in rounds. I used bamboo cotton and a 4mm hook. Change colours as you like.

I started with a magic ring with 6 sc,

Round 1: 2sc in each stitch around. Do not join (12)

Round 2: 2sc in the first st, 1sc in next, around. Do not join. (18)

Round 3: 2sc in the first. 1sc in the next 2 stitches around. Do not join (24)

Round 4: 2sc in the first, 1sc in the next 3 around. Do not join. (30)

Round 5: 2sc in the first, so in the next 4 around. Do not join. (36)
