DAY 51: World Doll Day

When I was a little girl I loved Barbie dolls. My sister and I would spend hours playing with Westley a single mum who rode her splendid horse across the seagrass matting desert, dragging along her daughter Tally. But the apple of my eye was the magnificent blonde haired, blue eyed beauty – Sandy Tripitaka. Sandy was named in honour of two of my favourite characters in the TV show, Monkey Magic. She was invincible, fighting one legged war veterans and rejecting the advances of a smitten Ken until the day she fell to the powers of nail polish remover and lost her face.

Today I am acknowledging World Doll Day. My son is football (Australian rules) mad and loves his Melbourne Demons so I present his Melbourne Demons superhero.
