DAY 9: Ladybird Matching Pairs Game

My son attends a childcare centre which assigns different insect names to each room – Beetles, Bumblebees, Grasshoppers, Ladybirds and Butterflies. Apparently when you are 3 years old, whether you are a Ladybird or a Grasshopper is a really big deal, so to acknowledge Jack’s transition to a Ladybird, I tried to make a number of Ladybird inspired crochet items.

I made this ladybird matching pairs game with drawstring bag when Jack was learning his colours. One of my favourite projects!
You can replace the colours with shapes, numbers or letters. Free pattern coming soon
